Constructing a My Cal Poly Portal Channel

Web applications and "dynamic" Web content, particularly that which functions in response to a users' identity or role, are best suited for development within the My Cal Poly Web infrastructure, and may also be good candidates for delivery via the actual My Cal Poly portal user interface (UI) as well. By doing so, developers will benefit from:

  • Targeted content delivery to a captive audience
  • Rapid application development and deployment with pre-built security, data-exchange, and rendering services
  • Use of a highly-extensible integration framework to create new and hybrid Web applications from disparate backend technologies; can be used to tie new and legacy business logic to produce new Web applications where no prior interoperability exists

Please see the Portal Infrastructure page if you are interested in utilizing the My Cal Poly portal for delivery of content.
