Setting up a Web site in support of an Enterprise Project
Enterprise Projects allow students to apply what they have learned in class to real world situations. They strengthen a student's studies, while at the same time, provide them with knowledge and skills that lead to a fuller understanding and appreciation of important production, managerial, and marketing challenges.
Web Site Hosting Resources
Enterprise Project Web sites must be hosted by non-instructional, department owned, Cal Poly Corporation, ASI, or outside Web servers. These solutions may be accompanied by costs associated with the hosting of an Enterprise type Web site:
- Department (owned) Web server (ask for permission)
- Educational Web Services (Cal Poly Corporation)
- Outsource and host external to the campus
Note: Individual accounts and Department accounts hosted on Central UNIX instructional servers may not host Web pages that are designed to market or sell products or services. Fundraising and event promotion for a department/program are excepted.
