Setting Up a Web site in support of an ASI Club or Team
Club or teams are officially recognized by the University and chartered through ASI (reference the ASI Club Resource Guide)
Club web sites are not required to adhere to Web addressing (URL), minimum page element, and other style requirements. Please reference the Cal Poly ITS Responsible Use Policy regarding use of State resources for personal use.Club Web sites have several hosting options depending on the complexity and needs of your web site requirements.
Web Site Hosting Resources
Club Web sites can be published onto the following resources:
- Club Account on Central UNIX (preferred)
- Department (owned) Web server (ask your department for permission)
- Your Individual Account on Central Unix
- Educational Web Services (Cal Poly Corporation)
- Outsource and host external to the campus
Disk quotas will influence the amount of information you choose to provide and where you will locate your Web pages.
